He is survived by: his children, Walter Smith III (Julia), Amy Reeves and Jennifer Burnett; and his grandchildren, Walter Smith IV, Buddy Burnett IV, Lexy Pfeiffer and Jacklyn Burnett. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to either St. Jude's or Shriner's hospitals.
