He was predeceased by : his parents, Everett Simkins and Luvene Simkins (Williams); and his wife Versa Eutona Simkins (Hedrick). He is survived by : his son William Keith Simkins (Andrea) of Colorado; his sister Violet Youngblood (Simkins) of Missouri; his grandchildren, William Skyler Simkins, Andrew Cole Simkins and Christina Harmon (Jeremy); and his son Steve Madrid (LaTonya) of Colorado. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Crossroads Victory Church (515 S Hillcrest Dr, Montrose, CO 81401).
