He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith May and Charles Noah VanDever; his wife Alma June "June Bug" VanDever; his grandfather Bill; and his siblings, Junior, Ed and Hazel.

He is survived by: his children, Michael VanDever (Marsha) and Vicki King (Kurt); his grandchildren, Jeni (Ben), Ryan (Ruthie), Megan (Shane) and Adam (Brigette); his brother Jack VanDever (Debbie) of Wichita, Kansas.; and his great grandchildren, Makenna, Bennett, Kennedy, Harper, Dillon, Brooklyn, Brynn, Saylor, Gunner and Tucker.
