He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Barnett and Janie Barnett; and his son Scott Barnett. He is survived by: his wife Marla Barnett; his children, Stephanie Barnett Buhler (Terry Buhler), Randy Barnett and Jennifer Streeby (Kate Farlow); his grandchildren, Branden Buhler, Cameron Buhler and Jaelinn Barnett; and his siblings, Jan Barnett, Randy Barnett and Gayle Barnett Quigley.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wylie's memory to Wayside Waifs, a cause dear to his heart, and a reflection of the love he had for his canine companions.
