It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Connie Katherine Scott of Kearney, Missouri, who passed away on September 17, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John S. Adams and Margaret C. Conerton; her stepfather Charles Smith; her husband Virgil S. Scott, Jr.; and her granddaughters, Lulu Abigale Dooley and Savannah June Dooley.
She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Dooley (Michael) of Overland Park, KS and Jeffrey Scott (Aimee) of Kansas City, MO; her grandsons, Gordon Dooley and Elliot Scott; her siblings, Paul Smith (Marianne) of James, J. J. and Mary Pat Smith; and her goddaughter Amanda Christensen (McCurry). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Kearney (925 State Rte 92, Kearney, MO 64060). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the St. Michaels Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Walt Disney Hometown Museum or Make-A-Wish Foundation in Connie's memory.
