It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold LeRoy Haines (Kearney, Missouri), born in Omaha, Nebraska, who passed away on February 5, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennett H. Haines and Evelyn Haines (Chocholousek); and his siblings, Darlene Tappe (Lee) and Edward Haines. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Stevens of Kearney, Missouri; his daughters, Paige Auer (Mark) of Kearney and Patty Rubin (Dave) of Smithville, Missouri; his grandchildren, Travis Auer (Ginger), Hallie Watts (Joe) and Carly Bowman (Nathan); his stepgrandchildren, Jennie Smith and Dan Rubin (Erin); his great grandchildren, Lucas, Grant Auer, Jack, Lenny Watts, Braylen and Kellen Bowman; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Emma Smith, Jayedann Mills and Easton Rubin; and his siblings, Bill Haines (Marta) and Madeline Pastian (Dale). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews; a host of other family and friends.
Monetary donations that are made in lieu of flowers can be made to Northern Hills Baptist Church designated for the Harold Haines Memorial. All donations will go directly to Fostering Christmas Hope and The Lee and Dana Trotter Prescott Community Outreach of Urban Kansas City, Kansas.
