He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Weigel; and his children, Allen, Beverly Akiyama, Nancy Snider (Jerry), Tracy Walsh (Matt), Lisa Akiyama, Preston Akiyama of California and Mitsue Kuwahara of Hawaii.
