It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kenneth Jack Meinert of Kearney, Missouri, who passed away on May 31, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Meinert and Madeleine Meinert; his sister-in-law Helen Meinert; his nephew Brendan Meinert; and his in-laws, Katherine and James L. Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his sons, Aaron Meinert (Kerrie) and Nathan Meinert (Tara) of Kearney; his grandsons, Drake, Dawson and Dane; his brothers, Jerry Meinert of Kingsville, MO and Dennis Meinert (Beverly) of Columbia; and his sisters-in-law, Joy Fray (Mike) of Quincy, IL and Karen Farris (Larry) of Gladstone, MO. He is also survived by six nieces and six nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the First United Methodist of Kearney (1000 State Rte 92, Kearney, MO 64060).
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the newly established Meinert Family Scholarship Fund which will annually provide to future generations of the Kearney community to further preserve his legacy.
