He was predeceased by: his parents, Pearl Allen and Lawrence Allen; and his siblings, George Allen and Patty Orr. He is survived by: his wife Mitsuko; his children, Brenda and Michael; and his siblings, Barbara, Peggy, Charles and Robert.

He was active in the Kearney Family Foundation as well as the American Legion (post 95) and served in the honor guard.
