Cecil Ellis Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 29, 2025, at the age of 90, Cecil Ellis of Kennett, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Ellis and Gladys Massey Ellis; his sons, Hugh Mack and Randy Ellis; and his brothers, Hubert, Larry and Jim Ellis.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Ellis; his sons, Mitchell Ellis (Tonya) and Mark Ellis (Tracy); his daughter-in-law Teresa Ellis; his grandchildren, Sarah Leyenaar (Tim), John Ellis (Savannah), Cody Ellis, Brooke Fleeman (Andy), Kasey Ellis, Erin Guthrie (Nate), Ty Ellis, Bodey Ellis, Jessica Lindsey (Tad) and Luke Ellis (Kayleigh); and his siblings, Gary Ellis and Geraldine "Sis" McLaughlin (Joe). He is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McDaniel Funeral Service - Kennett (115 South Bypass, Kennett, MO 63857). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the McDaniel Chapel - Kennett (115 South Bypass, Kennett, MO 63857). A burial will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 at the Dunklin Memorial Gardens (1724 Southwest Dr, Kennett, MO 63857).
