She was predeceased by: her parents, Eddie B. Joyner, Sr. and Dora Grace Brooks; her children, Eddie Louise Jones, Gracie Mae Samuels, Larry Sanders and Tommy Sanders; her mother-in-law Margeret Carter; her grandson Thomas Ray; her brother Eddie B. Joyner, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Honesty Fonda, Kwaundellisha Thompson, Javarious Thompson, Ellis S. Thompson and Baby J; and her brother-in-law Wayne Carter (Bobby Coleman).
She is survived by: her husband Postell McHarland; her son Bobby Joyner (Mildred); her stepchildren, Benny, Carolyn (Dennis), Renee, Josie (Phillip), Tiffany and Tyrone (Brighty); and her adoptive children, Syreena (Jessica), Bubba, Roc (Harley), Trey and Shea (Jered). She is also survived by other family members and many friends.
