He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Kennedy and Orpha Bell Kennedy (Gann); his wife Louise McCrary; his sons, Jay and Don; and his grandson Chad Kennedy.

He is survived by: his children, Janet McGee, Greg Kennedy, Cyndi Kennedy and Todd Kennedy; his daughter-in-law Karen Kennedy; and his grandchildren, Julie, Monica, Jason, Duste, Tammy, Bobby, Scott, Angelica, Holly, Ashton, Aaron and Austin. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Poland-Thompson Chapel (222 W 3rd St, Cameron, MO 64429). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
