He is survived by: his mother Debra Kay Short (Gardisky) of Branson; his children, Bayle Short and Ryan Short; the parent of his children Necole Short of Waco, TX; and his siblings, Nathan Short of Chicago, IL and Kathy Westmoreland of Springfield, MO. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Table Rock American Legion Post #637 (2 Woodland Ave, Kimberling City, MO 65686).
