We announce the death of Walter Ray Stieferman of Kingdom City, Missouri, who passed away on October 14, 2026, at the age of 89. Walter will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Stieferman and Eunice Stieferman (Snell); his brother Joseph Stieferman; and his in-laws, Kenneth Mealy, Bob Mealy, Sherlene Horstman (Clyde), Joyce Wilson and Larry Mealy (Mary).
He is survived by: his wife Janis Stieferman (Mealy); his children, David Lee Stieferman of Lohman and Carol June Pickering (Jim) of Mokane; his siblings, Margaret Taylor (Jerry) of Mokane, Jerry Stieferman of Mokane, Gary Stieferman of Mokane, Carl Stieferman (Judy) and Richard Stieferman (Sandy) of Mokane; his grandchildren, Blake Pickering (Lexi) of Jefferson City, Alex Pickering (Ashley) of Mokane, Terri Rimert (Allen) of Fulton, Megan Jones (Derek) of Fulton and Jared Stieferman of Georgia; and his great grandchildren, Case, Hunter, Landon, Kynslea, Dawson, Audrina and Lillian. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Maupin Funeral Home (301 Douglas Blvd, Fulton, MO 65251). A funeral service was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
