He is survived by: his wife Joanne Kay Johnson; his sons, Mark A. Tevis of Warrensburg, MO, Robert "Rusty" Tevis (Robin) of Holden, MO and John "Phil" Tevis (Amy) of Kingsville, MO; his stepchildren, Jerry "Kip" Vance (Amy) of Kingsville, MO and Kacy Vance of Independence, MO; and his brother Richard "Rick" Tevis of Holden, MO. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Memorial Contributions may be left to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in care of the funeral chapel.
