With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rufus Lee Bales of Kingsville, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 3, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Rufus Lee departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Rufus Lee. Though Rufus Lee may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He was predeceased by: his wife B. Ellen Blake; and his daughter Sandra L Bales. He is survived by: his sons, Everett "Gene" Bales of Kingsville, MO and Rufus "Dale" Bales (Janet) of Kingsville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Contributions may be left to the Fairview Cemetery Association in care of Williams.

“This breaks my heart! This was my dad’s (Shelby or Doc as some called him) last living sibling. When I was growing up, we lived in Viola, AR, and I can remember always getting Christmas cards from Uncle Rufus and Aunt Ellen and every time they came down to visit their other family they always came to see my sister and me. I am so very sorry for your loss. I am praying for peace and comfort for all of you during this difficult time.”
