Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Duane Leon Lawson of Kirksville, Missouri, who passed away at the age of 86, on July 23, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emery Wilson and Oletha Pauline Lawson (Goucher); his sister Sharon Lindquist; and his wife Karen Sue VanLaningham. He is survived by: his son David; his daughter-in-law Tina Lawson of Kirksville, MO; his stepson Joe Schmitter (Teresa) of Columbia, MO; his grandchildren, Ben Lawson (Sadie) of Overland Park, KS, Maddie Bell (Bo) of Kirksville, MO, Gretchen Schmitter of Columbia, MO and Kyra Schmitter of Columbia, MO; and his great grandchildren, Natalee Bell, Genevieve Bell, Hanes Bell and Charlotte "Charley" Lawson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
