He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Martin Meyer (Wiz) and Mary Ann Drennan Meyer; his grandparents, Harry, Catherine Meyer, John and Marian Drennan; his brother Frederick Meyer (Fritz); and his sister-in-law Kathleen Meyer.
He is survived by: his children, Karyn Leslie Walters, Jaime Lin Janes (David), Joshua Jerome Meyer and Sabra Catherine Adams (Ted); his wife Lysle Bettis Meyer of Mary's Church; his grandchildren, Seth Walters (Paige), Carley Walters Frederick (Gareth), Elizabeth Janes Boren, Foster Janes and Hannah Meyer; his great grandchildren, Stormy, Clinton, Stran Walters, Cohen O'Haver, Beckett and Colter Boren; his siblings, Tim Meyer (Joyce) and Gale Noel (Lee Slocom); his siblings-in-law, Larry Bettis (Sharon), Lloyd Bettis (Kathryn), Les Bettis (Suzanne) and Linda (Vince); and his grandsons, Duncan Simmons, Kellen Simmons, Lake Meyer and Olin Adams. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home (1008 W Potter Ave, Kirksville, MO 63501). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Mary Immaculate Catholic Church (716 E Washington St, Kirksville, MO 63501).
