Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Kathaleen Roberts of Kirksville, Missouri, who passed away at the age of 77, on December 7, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Starr and Doris Starr (Eades); her grandmothers, Pearl and Iva Starr; her sister Sharon Smith; her sons, Danny Burgess and Dale Burgess; her grandson Dakota Stark; and her great grandchildren, Connor Burgess, Jaxon and Reid McKinney.
She is survived by: her children, Cassie Whippie (Mike) of Keokuk, Brenda Smith (Robert) of Luray, Joe Burgess of Kirksville, Tony Smith (Amanda) of Kirksville, Troy Smith (Roni) of Kirksville, Jeremy Smith (Yevette) of Kirksville and Chance Roberts of Kahoka; her daughter-in-law Melissa Burgess of Edina; and her siblings, Linda Fors, Carol Clemens, Crystal Conley, Joseph Starr, Tim Starr, Don Starr and David Starr. She is also survived by thirty-one grandchildren, forty-seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
A reception will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Vigen Memorial (278 W Main St, Kahoka, MO 63445). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at the same location.
