She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles W. Hendrick and Rev. Letha J. Hendrick; and her husband Theodore H. Schmitt. She is survived by: her children, Paul Schmitt (Angela) and Susan Holt (Brian).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at the funeral services to fund a tree planting at Kirkwood Park in Betty's honor.
