He was predeceased by: his parents, George Westhoff and Louise Westhoff; and his sister Gwendolyn (Brendan). He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Passmore of Pittsburg; and his children, Sean, Peter (Lorie), Bridget Rupert (Chris), Patrick, Ben (Anna) and Terry (Araceli). He is also survived by eight grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Louis Abbey (530 S Mason Rd, St. Louis, MO 63141). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
