He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin H. Jr. M. D. and Elizabeth Schmidt; and his brother-in-law Paul Buehler. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Edwin IV (Anne), Matthias (Sophia), Paul (Colleen) and Sarah (Dan); his grandchildren, Charlie, Cecilia, Viola and Josephine; his siblings, Steve (Teresa), Jim (Karen) and Marty (Margaret); and his siblings-in-law, Ann Willis (John), Mark Buehler (Suzy) and Barb McGauley (Pat).
