With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald G. Ruder (Kirkwood, Missouri), born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on December 8, 2022 at the age of 81. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gerald G. Ruder to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George S. Ruder and Eva. He is survived by: his wife Janet; his brother Lawrence (Karen); his children, Kristina Pongracz (Karl), Diana Murphy (Robert) and Jamieson (Ashley); his grandchildren, Lawrence Fields, Victoria, Courtney, Justine and Luca; his great grandchildren, Chase, Makenna and Tessa; and his pet Callie.
Late in life we purchased a place in the town of Bull Shoals together and renovated it, turning it into our "COVID bunker" and escaping to the lake whenever we could during the height of the pandemic.
In a final act of selflessness and bravery, he donated his body to Washington University School of Medicine to help future generations of medical professionals and patients alike.
