He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Garwitz and Elly Garwitz. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Garwitz; his children, Ryan Garwitz (Blaire), Bridget Gossett (Bret) and Rob Garwitz (Emilie); his grandchildren, Braden Garwitz, Eleanor Garwitz, Will Garwitz and Peter Garwitz; and his sisters, Christine Puricelli (Dennis), Deborah Johnson (Larry), Ellen McMahon (Scott) and Amy Balzer (Roland).
