He is survived by: his wife Lyla "Pat" McElwee; his children, Linda Juber, Lisa Schallom (Jim) and Rick Bradley (Angie); and his siblings, Mary Jeanne Suppiger and Bob McElwee (Jean). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
