He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond and Mary (Hoffman); and his brother James Bauer (Carolyn). He is survived by: his children, Edward H. Bauer, Jane C. Bauer, Daniel C. Bauer and Kathleen M. Bauer; his significant other Nancy Coughlin; his former wife Katherine C. Bauer; and his brothers, Thomas Bauer and Walter Neff. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
