She was predeceased by : her sister Susan "Tutie" Harrin; and her parents, Jane Russell Smith and Ralph E. Smith. She is survived by : her spouse Lee Paul Landers; her children, Lee Michael Landers (Kim), James Franklin Landers (late Anne) and Sara Jane Jensen (Derek); and her grandchildren, Lauren, Michael, Mathew, Franklin Landers, Daniel, Jane and Katherine Jensen.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Long Meadow Rescue Ranch, Franklin County Humane Society or the Joplin Humane Society.
