He is survived by: his daughter Amy Burkemper (Matt); his granddaughters, Lila, Cora and Madeline; his stepdaughter Teresa Johnson (Dan); his stepgrandchildren, Nick, Meg (Dan) and Tina Hassler (Tim); his siblings, Steve Smith, June Walsh (Rick) and Jean Barban (Joe); Miep, Kate, Anna, Lisa Scuzzo (Steve), Sami (Herman), Parker and Dylan.

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 4th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church (1510 Bopp Rd, Des Peres, MO 63131). Luncheon to follow offsite with RSVP requested by Nov. 15 to: Amy. burkemper@outlook. com.
