He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles J. Tate and Cornelia Ella Tate (Corner); his son Olen Charles Tate; and his siblings, Jackie, James, Jimmy and Betty Jewsbury.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Davis; his children, Edward Davis of Forsyth, Fred Gilbert of Kissee Mills, Dan Gilbert of Springfield, Mike Tate (Connie) of Lawrence, KS., Jenna Dunn (Matthew) of Salem and Angela Robbins (Brian) of Wichita, KS.; and his siblings, Billie Tate (Phyllis) of Taneyville, Jerry Tate (Joyce) of Kissee Mills, Madeline Berg of Rockaway Beach and Wonda Tate of Forsyth. He is also survived by twenty-seven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel (16560 US-160, Forsyth, MO 65653). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Kissee Mills Cemetery (23416 US-160, Kissee Mills, MO 65680).
