He was predeceased by: his parents, Leland S. Collins and Blanche Collins (Redmon); his wife Alberta Krause; his stepfather Claud Perry; and his brother Ronnie Perry.
He is survived by: his children, Leland D. Collins (Joann) of Laurel Springs and Judithann Romanski (Joseph) of Newtown, Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Gianna, Bianca, Joseph Jr., Jared and Janeen; his great grandchildren, Fiadh, Paul, Jared Jr. and Carsen; and his siblings, Paul Perry (Kathy) of La Plata, Missouri, Gayle Perry of La Plata, Missouri, Geraldine Gash of Raytown, Judy Gregory (Leon) of La Plata and Betty Perry of Diamond Head, Mississippi. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials in memory of Leland may be made to the La Plata American Legion.
