It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William E. Jelmberg of La Plata, Missouri, who passed away on August 22, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. As William departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though William may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy William leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Jelmberg and Thelma Jelmberg (Cox); and his brother Clifford Jelmberg. He is survived by: his children, Edwon Jelmberg of Kirksville, Ernest Jelmberg (Mary) of Puyallup, Washington and Delma Onken of La Plata; and his siblings, George Jelmberg (Shelly) of Royal City, Washington, Betty Allred (Wiley) of Moses Lake and Anna Christine Jelmberg-Meidema (Allen) of Bothell, Washington. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
