With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald Bayless of Labadie, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 23, 2026 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Austie Wilson Bayless and Lillie Mae; his wife Dixie Lane; and his siblings, Ralph Bayless (Marion), Loren Bayless (Lina Mae), Dorothy Pridgen (Walter) and Helen Smith (William).

He is survived by: his sons, Steven Bayless (Janet) of Camdenton and Mark Bayless (Julie) of Washington; his grandchildren, Elane Ennis (James), Jamie Payne (Dillon) and Kathrine Pence; and his great grandchild Benjamin Ennis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorials may be made to the Washington Lions Club or the WHS Athletic Boosters.
