He is survived by : his wife Martha "Marty" Bickel; his daughters, Christine "Christy" Lawton (Patrick) of St. Louis, Susan Desmond of Overland Park, KS, Katherine "Kate" Swingle (Christopher) of St. Louis, Jennifer "Jenny" Bender (William) of Atlanta, GA and Laura Bickel of St. Louis; and his grandchildren, Jack, Patrick, Margaret "Maggie" Lawton, Thomas, Andrew "Drew" Desmond, Emma, Noah Swingle, Sophie, Peter and Olivia Bender.
