He is survived by : his mother Dorothy Grace Burgardt; his children, Amanda McMillan (Jerod), Christopher Handlang (Haley) and Braden Handlang; his grandchildren, Kaydence McMillan, Lydon McMillan, Rhett Handlang, Laynie Handlang, Ezemay Handlang, Oakley Handlang, Legend Handlang and Zander Handlang; and his former life partner Kimberly Handlang.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Eric's name to the American Heart Association.
