He is survived by: his children, David Bowes of Arvada, Colorado, Cynthia McIntire (Rick Marti) of Lamar, Missouri, Andrea Shaver of Lamar, Missouri and Kandace Wallace (Vance) of Wichita, Kansas; and his brothers, Lister Potter (Judy) of Lamar, Missouri, Clayton Alumbaugh (Queta) of Sugar Land, Texas and Jimmy Potter (Armeta) of Phillipsburg, Missouri. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Lamar Living Hope Church of the Nazarene (1301 Broadway St, Lamar, MO 64759).
