He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Eugene Godfrey and Gladys Margaret "Shorty" Godfrey. He is survived by: his brother Gordie Godfrey (Luella) of Lamar; and his nephews, Ryan Godfrey (Leah) of Leavenworth, Kansas, Jeffrey Godfrey (Ashley) of Republic and Ryan Collier of Belton, Missouri. He is also survived by three great-nieces and two great-nephews.
Memorial contributions are suggested and may be made payable to Daniel Funeral Home, as the family is in the process of establishing a scholarship fund in Coach Godfrey's honor.
