We are sad to announce that, on December 22, 2025, at the age of 82, Martha Ann Carter (Lamar, Missouri) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Estel Scott Rooks Sr. and Euewellah Joe Rooks (Taylor); her former husbands, Loyd William Sparks and Lyle James Sparks; her grandson Micheal Serman Jr.; her siblings, Arma June and Estel Scott Rooks Jr.; her half-siblings, Donald Keith, Carson Keith, Joesph Keith and Linda Kay; her adoptive father Ray (Una May Carter); and her daughter Connie Sue Sparks.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, James Sherman, Aubery Williams, Audery Hart, Matt Smith, Casey Sparks, Courtney Butler and Kayla Sparks; her siblings, Thelma Marie Hutcherson (Sue), Frank Rooks and Thelma Marie Rooks; her children, Pamela Jane Sparks (Mike) of Liberal, James David Sparks (Kristin) of Indiana and Clara May Sparks (Charlie) of Sheldon; Lyle James Sparks. She is also survived by great grandchildren.
