She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Vest and Mabel Vest (Durman); her husband Harold Higgins; her granddaughter Raven Pennell; and her son-in-law Carl Pennell.
She is survived by: her daughter Renee Valdez (Randy) of Lamar, Missouri; her grandson Patrick Pennell (Caroline Jones) of Greenfield, Missouri; her great grandchildren, Tameron Pennell and Zander Brayfield; and her close friend Florence Valdez.
