He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Bower and Minnie Bower; his son Christopher Michael Bower; his son-in-law Ryan Ballard; his brother Gerald Bower; his grandson Chase Lee Comer; and his great grandchild Kaleb McElroy.
He is survived by: his wife Ardith Bower; his children, Douglas Bower, Nathan Bower (Laura), Derick Manley, Jeffery Manley, Cindy Searl (Glenn), Michelle Ballard and Melissa McClarnon; and his sister Darlene Russell. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
