He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Searcy and Lottie Fae Searcy (Ishmael). He is survived by: his wife Lila Cartright; his sons, Daniel Searcy of Laredo and Joe Searcy (Sheryl) of Trenton, Missouri; his grandchildren, Colby Searcy of Humphreys, Maddie Fair (Bruce) of Trenton and Carter Searcy of Galt, Missouri; and his siblings, James Searcy (Roberta) of Ravanna, Missouri, Norma Jean Hobbs and Betty June Murphy of Chillicothe, Missouri. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alpha Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
