It is with sadness that the passing of Edward Wayne Hon of Lathrop, Missouri is shared. Edward, born on September 10, 1936, passed away on October 31, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer "Andy" Hon and Dorothy Hon (Stinson); his wife Marsha Piety; and his siblings, Carl Ade, Joe Hon, Bill Hon, Lee Hon and Rebecca Heckadon.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Hon (Patty), Rhonda Creason (Casey) of Basehor, KS and Melvin Hon (Robin) of Lathrop, MO; his grandchildren, Matthew Hon, Alex Waight (Cody), Taylor Creason and Shane Creason (Lori); his great grandchildren, Oliver, Nolan and Beatrix; and his siblings, Dickie Hon, Bobby Hon, Andrew Hon and Kathy Patrick. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Lathrop (413 Center St, Lathrop, MO 64465). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Lathrop Antique Show Grounds in care of the funeral home.
