He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Bob" George and Sonya George (Martin). He is survived by: his wife Sherrie (Reed) of Lawson, MO; his children, David George (Jodi) of Lawson, MO and Misty Leatherman (Mark) of Bates City, MO; his brother Rick George (Janet) of Smithville, MO; and his grandchildren, Haley George, Logan Lewis, Denny George, Bo Leatherman, Haley Jean Lewis and Allison Leatherman.

“I thought very highly of Keith. We tended to laugh a lot when talking, about things little and big. I was always impressed by his musicianship on bass or tinkering with another string instrument, rock solid he was. His repair and adjustment work on my guitars and mandolins so valuable to me. I counted up today and realized I've known him for 40 years. As Bill Monroe was fond of saying, and I believe it's true -- old pard -- "We'll meet again someday." -- Bill Graham”
