He was predeceased by: his parents, Verna Lee Lindsey (Stites) and Eugene "Buddy" Lindsey; his parents-in-law, Howard "Bud" and Dora Louise "Peggy" Ballinger; and his siblings-in-law, Larry Workman, Danny Ballinger and Lisa Ballinger.

He is survived by: his siblings, James Lindsey (Vanessa), Dan Lindsey (Lou) and Deborah Workman; his brothers-in-law, Howard Ballinger (Sherry) and Brent Ballinger; and his aunts and uncles, Don and Jimmie Lou Stites of Sallisaw, Oklahoma.. He is also survived by family, but also many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Polo (110 E Elm St, Polo, MO 64671). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief or the First Baptist Church of Polo in care of the funeral home.

His work in disaster relief will be missed. He was such a blessing to those little tykes and I always enjoyed watching him work with them. He leaves a huge hole in our child care team.
