It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Ann Gates of Lebanon, Missouri, born in Terre Haute, Indiana, who passed away on February 3, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren Culver and Barbara Geis Culver; and her son Michael DeTalent Gates. She is survived by: her husband Michael G. Gates; her daughters, Nancy Rhoades (Danny) of Lebanon, MO and Karon Kessler (Gary) of Springfield, MO; her grandchildren, Lance Rhoades (Julie), Kelly Rhoades (Bridget), Casey Massey (Matthew), Allison Kessler and Emily Arnold (Andrew); her great grandchildren, Shannon, Kyle, Nick, Levi, Dustin (Emily), Paige, Chance, Easton, Ryder, Reece, Rhett, Cannon, Lincoln, RyAnn and Grace; her great great grandchildren, Kasen, Jameson and Kinley; her siblings, Mary Beth Schenecker of St. Joseph, MO, Steve Culver (Patty) of St. Joseph, MO and Susie Morris (Jim) of Indialantic, FL; Howard and Dana McCallister. She is also survived by other relatives and countless special friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested in memory of Barbara to St. Francis deSales Catholic Church or Lifepoint Church.
