Goretzke True); his former spouse Beverly Joan Calvin; his wife Joan True; his children, Debra Lynn Day (Michael) of Springfield, Michael D. Kile (Judith) of Lebanon, MO, Gary L. True (Lorie) of Lebanon, MO and Daniel W. True, Jr. (April) of Lebanon, MO; his grandchildren, Sarah Gardner (Matt), Jeff Kile (Ashley), Craig Kile, Kelsey Sinclair (T. J.), Brianna Musgrave (Casey), Daniel Lane True, Logan True, Mäeva Rivoal and Anastasiya "Nastya" Varnikova (Niekita); his granddaughter-in-law Melissa Day; and his great grandchildren, Paige, Alli Gardner, Rex, Gracie Day, Cullen, Jocelyn Kile, Madeline Kile, Gavin Mackivitch, Ka-Juan Smith, Lilah Musgrave and Barbara Varnikova.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in his memory be made to First United Methodist Church, Hughes Senior Center or to Heritage Baptist Church.
