He was predeceased by: his parents, James Atchley and Lenna "Eileen" Atchley (Norman); his sister Ruth Ann; and his siblings-in-law, Tom Scholljegerdes, Randy Scott and Bonnie Claar.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Scott; his daughters, Jennifer Cowden (Kevin) of Marshfield, Elizabeth "Newt" Atchley, Shawn Raney of Mississippi and Jamie Myers (Dean) of Blue Springs; his grandchildren, Stormye and Ella Cowden; his daughters, Londyn and Rane Erickson; and his brother Richard Atchley (Cheryl) of Lebanon. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Shadel's Colonial Chapel (1001 Lynn St, Lebanon, MO 65536).
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to David's family.
