He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Hunter and Mary Spurlock Bailey; his wife Ruth Erma Travis; his grandson Scott Randolph Bright II; and his siblings, Ruben Bailey, Geraldine Owens, Bertha Purl, Thelma Holcroft and Frances Naomi Oestrich.
He is survived by: his children, Felisha Bowling (Wayne) of Lebanon, Diane Bright (Scott) of Burlington, Leota Dinwiddie (John) of Richland, Missouri, Calvin Bailey (Shirley) of Franklin, Willie L. Bailey (Stephanie) of Granite City and Carlos D. Bailey (Tina) of Richland, Missouri. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
