He was predeceased by: his parents, Carney L. Akers and Florence L. Altman Akers; his wife Marie Akers; his siblings, Lorena, Kenneth and Dale Akers; his son-in-law Richard Frank; and his granddaughter Lacey.
He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Frank of Phillipsburg, Missouri, Stanley Akers (Tina) of Long Lane, Rick Akers (Pam) of Lebanon and Scott Akers (Kim) of Sleeper, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Ryan, Jaime, Shane, Stephanie, Amber, Brandon and Aaron. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
