He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Halter and Viola Halter (Morgan); his stepfather Richard Jolley; his brother John; his wife Barbara Kay Jestes; his son Douglas Halter; his in-laws, Gilbert and Evelyn Jestes; his brother-in-law Keith Jestes; and his granddaughters, Madeline and Rosie.
He is survived by: his children, Steven (Andrea) of Leawood, Kansas, Michael of Mission, Texas and Julie of Lebanon, Missouri.; his sisters-in-law, TwilaHalter and Sharon Jestes; his grandchildren, Emily (Asa), Molly (Cannon), Anna, Jacob and Andrew (Megan); and his great grandchild Azreal. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Turner Family Funeral Home (603 S Sloan St, Maysville, MO 64469). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
