It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerome Allan Birren (Lebanon, Missouri), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on November 21, 2019, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard B. Birren and Alice D. O'Neill Birren; his daughters, Gloria, Jeri-Alice and Sally; his stepdaughter Jamie; and his sister Patricia Birren-Wilsey.

He is survived by: his children, Patty Marquez of Nixa, Melissa Hoffman of Poway, California and Sean Birren of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin; his stepdaughter Amy Schatz Doubenmier; his grandchildren, Andrea Marquez, Jessica Marquez, Kendyil Hoffman, Amber Hoffman, Anna Birren, Eliana Birren, Jacob Mezzacapa, Ryan Mezzacapa and Sidney Mezzacapa; his great grandchild Lorenzo Rodriquez; his siblings, John Birren of Lebanon, Jim Birren of San Diego, Ricky Birren, Brian Birren and Becky Sue Hertel; and his daughter Cystic Fibrosis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
